About the event
Violinist Yente Lottman and pianist Michel Xie present an expressive programme for violin and piano, bringing together the lyricism of Schubert, the refined colours of Debussy and the dramatic intensity of Brahms. The concert highlights the rich dialogue between both instruments: intimate, poetic and full of contrast.

Yente Lottman
Yente Lottman is a Dutch violinist from Amsterdam. She studied at the Sweelinck Academy and later at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where she completed her Bachelor of Music with Honours in 2025. She has won several national prizes, including the Britten Violin Competition and prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition and the Netherlands Violin Competition.
Yente has performed as a soloist with the Residentie Orkest and made her debut at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam at the age of sixteen. As an active chamber musician, she has appeared at festivals including Grachtenfestival, Festival Wonderfeel, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival, Festival Ravel and the Edinburgh International Festival. She currently plays a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin on private loan.
Michel Xie
Michel Xie is a classical pianist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist. He studied at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he specialised in Collaborative Piano. He has performed at venues including Wigmore Hall and has won several prizes for chamber music and lied accompaniment.
Michel is the founder and artistic director of the Rhinegold Festival in Wageningen. He recently joined the Conservatorium van Amsterdam as a piano teacher and collaborative pianist, working mainly with clarinet and violin students. He has performed nationally and internationally, both as a soloist and chamber musician.
